For those that have a iPhone this upgrade with its Personal Hotspots is very powerful. Allowing you to share the phones network connection with other devices eg an iPad.

So the need to get an iPad with a 3G connection is not required, as can just use the wireless connection to wotk through the phone.

This goes for any other wireless or bluetooth enabled device that needs access to the internet.

I have used it on my iPhone/iPad and worked perfectly.

This can be used as example of how you can build iPad apps on top of mydigitalspace|onDemand.

Great - for in-field surveying, order taking, order processing etc.

Attached is a the c# source code of a simples Windows based contact loader. It reads a file of contact information and loads into the ibCom mydigitalspace onDemand service.

If has many uses cases in the real world, 3 examples:

1. Importing data from an existing system.

2. Periodic loading of data from other system - ie Point of sale register that creates a file once a night - this of course would be creating receipts.

3. Phyisical device, may be a measuring device that is used in the field, which then produces a file of results.

All this of course can be achieved through a jQuery web interface, but for cases where automation is required or lots of on client processing, then this type of Windows program may be suitable.

It could just as easily be automated via windows serice - eg set to run once a day.

"Escape 2011" Conference Thank You / Presentations

Hi,

Attached are the ibCom presentations from the conference held last week in Melbourne.

For those that could make it - thanks for your time and energy and extended thank you for those that hosted a session.

We look forward to "Escape 2012" and seeing more of the amazing applications being built within the new ibCom application framework and spending time with such positive and innovative people!
